Project Details
Needing more space for their family but loving their home, location, and school district, these repeat clients engaged us to convert their one-story home into a two-story with a game room, office, and 3/4 bathroom. During the planning phase of this project the client leveraged our interior design, architectural, and engineering services to capture their vision fully before we began construction. Here is what the full process entailed:
Space planning to determine how much additional space the client needed and how they intended to use it
Architectural design
Design and showroom visits to determine all finishes and fixtures
Engineering to ensure structural integrity and compliance to build codes
Reroute existing plumbing, electrical, and duct work
Demo existing framing and drywall
Frame, sheath, and waterproof new structure
Apply underlayment, flashing, and shingles to roof
Install windows
Rough in new electrical, plumbing, and HVAC
Install exterior siding and trim
Pre-sheet rock inspection
Insulation
Hang drywall
Install interior doors, baseboards, and trim
Paint exterior and interior
Install new gutters
Tile shower and bathroom
Install LVP flooring, stair treads, and risers
Trim out light fixtures, ceiling fans, and bathroom fixtures
